How do we respond to a world in crisis? Reframe what it means to “Be Human”? Connect different perspectives to live better?

Each work carries a lived story, opening portals of wonder while confronting today’s fiercest challenges. Together, they conjure an atmosphere of curiosity and magic—where perceptions shift, questions ignite, and hopeful futures are dreamed into being. This is more than an exhibition—it’s an immersive encounter with art that ignites, inspires, and uplifts.

DIALOGUES WITH A WORLD ON FIRE is a project by RAW Gallery, a social enterprise developed by the non-profit Karmabank, an incubator for social impact and humanitarian projects. RAW began as Refugee Art Works, a project to support female artists fleeing War and Gender Based Violence.
Highlights of the show include a unique hands-on daily workshop with the David Nott Foundation, focusing on how art and design help doctors work in war zones; Charmaine Wombwell’s interactive project “Piecing us Together”, shown recently at the Wellcome Collection, which invites attendees to add their parts to a life-size textile doll; an embroidery workshop by the Tatreez Collective; a live performance by the oud virtuoso Rihab Azar; and a continuation of the Stitch collective tapestry, designed by Aya Haidar.

The meanwhile space in Mayfair features a popup gallery, shop, performances and workshops. RAW is also raising funds for victims of war through a lottery of donated “post card art” (small artworks donated by international artists), which will support the work of the David Nott Foundation – an incredible organisation which trains surgeons to perform surgery in global war zones. They will present a demonstration of the tools used to train combat surgeons.

Donations will also support the work of Karmabank, whose projects help both victims of war and marginalised local residents in London.

“Dialogues with a World on Fire,” a group exhibition showcasing emerging and established contemporary artists from around the globe.

“Dialogues with a World on Fire” exhibits established and emerging female artists, many with personal experiences of displacement, migration, gender based violence, disability and marginalisation, others whose work explores themes of humanity in a fractured world. Through these filters, the provocative art in this exhibition offer a new vision of a better world: challenging perceptions, breaking conventions, and tearing down walls. Vive la Révolution!
